Founded by Sam Richards in 1995 out of a desire to promote new and re-emerging artists. Waif & Stray Productions assists aspiring artists to identify and dissolve barriers to their creative journey.

In 2013, After spending years developing her own style stemming from Classical to Celtic Harp to Rock to Blues, Sam with the help of Sean Pregnolato laid down three acoustic tracks forming part of the EP “At Home” (COMFORT / WORLD / STRONG). These songs, along with other original material, were showcased at Round Midnight as part of Mark Harrison’s Roots Night, with the support of Sean, George Elliot & Linus Taylor.

In 2014 saw the recording of a further five tracks (TRAIN2NOWHERE / SUNSHINE & STORMCLOUDS / WROTE YOU A LETTER / BROWN EYED ANGEL / LAY DOWN BESIDE ME) over two sessions.  The first at the Arch in London with George Elliott manning the helm and on guitar/bass, Dan Hale on Drums, Chris Cox on Guitar, Enzo Strano on Bass, Alex White on Sax.  The second session took place at “The Edit Rooms”, Mark Owen’s London Studio, with Dan Hale (Drums), Luigi Casanova (Bass), Carmen Vandenberg (MD & Guitar), and Linus Taylor (Guitar), with remote Hammond by John Moody.

Sam is self-publishing and all her available music can be found on SoundCloud.
